The Southeast Asian (SEA) Games will be returning to Manila, after hosting it in 1981, 1991 and 2005.

The Philippine Olympic Committee has announced that the 2019 edition of the SEA Games will be held in Manila, according to a report by ABS-CBN News.

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) said the country will use existing facilities instead of building new stadiums for the biennial event.

The PSC also said, it will ask the management of SM Malls and Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) for the use of the Mall of Asia Arena and the Philippine Arena.

Singapore hosted the 2015 SEA Games last June and the next one in 2017 will be held in Malaysia.
