The social media. A vast power waiting to be tapped. Like the elements wielded, it is useful when properly used and harmful in haphazard and careless use.
Galita Palino Arnel Jhethro probably has realized this, too little, and way too late.
-but how do you excise a child? It looks like I’m not ready.. what can be drank to melt it?
Apparently someone helped him out, or he Googled it.
Yes thanks lord we got the child removed ehheh..
She’s negative now 😀 😀 😀
We’ll make a new one hahaha
And here’s where the problem lies: Remorseless and intentional abortion. It’s a slapping insult to couples who actually want to conceive, and here’s this guy making light of how easily unwanted pregnancy can be dealt with.
It would’ve been somewhat understandable if it was an accident and he took precautions to ensure contraception was observed. However, what we see here is nothing more than a happy-go-lucky guy who simply does things insolently, devil-may-care, who will not hesitate to do it again if the situation presents itself once more.
And his fatal flaw? It’s pasted in Facebook for all to see, share and condemn.
And then his name is revealed.
The woman however does not appear to be identified.
As expected, reactions to this remorseless ‘murder’ is just as brutal.
you’re not ashamed of what you’ve done and you really posted it…there’s many couples right now that wanted to have a child but you two are the most useless persons in the world..
Leave them to karma…
Yeah right! It’s those who were given chances to have a child are those that squanders the blessing and opportunity
Oh my god, if you’re not ashamed of yourselves, you should be ashamed of your parents… Don’t give thanks to the Lord, thank Satan instead!!
There are those, however, who thinks the post is nothing more than an April Fools joke, an angle that doesn’t seem to apply, given that the post was first done on April 2, a day after April Fools.
The post is also nonexistent in Jhethro’s wall. The Jollibee troll did a much better job in staying incognito; no one knows his real name still.
In the Philippines, Elective Abortion is banned by Article II of the 1987 Philippine Constitution and specifically by Revised Penal Code of the Philippines. Articles 256, 258 and 259 of the Code, mandating imprisonment for the woman who undergoes the abortion, as well as for any person who assists in the procedure, even if they be the woman’s parents, a physician or midwife. Article 258 further imposes a higher prison term on the woman or her parents if the abortion is undertaken “in order to conceal [the woman’s] dishonor”.
In the Roman Catholic Church, a woman who undergoes abortion or a man assisting in it warrants excommunication. However, Pope Francis has decreed special forgiveness for those kinds of transgression in the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy that started in 2015 and will last until November 20, 2016. Beyond the Jubilee, only bishops and those accredited by them can absolve such an act.
The only allowed exception to the rule in the Philippines is to save the pregnant woman’s life, such as cases of Ectopic Pregnancy, where untreated, can be fatal for the woman. This is found in Article 11(4) of the Code, wherein an abortion may be legally performed to save the pregnant woman’s life.
Cases like this underscores the real need to integrate sex education and family planning, to remove ignorance among Filipinos in regards to human reproduction, something that the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012 aims to address.
